Faith Formation Classes: A Welcoming Learning Opportunity For All!

Our Faith Formation classes are thoughtfully designed to offer enriching group learning experiences for both our congregation and the wider community. Whether you're a long-time member or a curious newcomer, our doors are always open. We believe that spiritual growth thrives in an inclusive and supportive environment, and we are committed to making our classes accessible to everyone.

Drop-ins are always welcome! This means you can join at any time without prior registration. Whether you want to deepen your faith, explore new spiritual concepts, or simply connect with like-minded individuals, our classes provide a flexible and welcoming space for all.

Violence & the Bible, Begins September 20th, 9:30 AM, Fidelis Room

New 6-week class led by Jim Warren, addressing questions like: Is God violent? Why does the Bible contain so much graphic violence, much of it committed in God’s name? Did God need Jesus to be tortured and murdered as a sacrifice for our forgiveness? Can the Bible help us understand the escalating polarization and violence in today’s world? This class is based upon his book “Compassion or Apocalypse,” available on Amazon. Reading the book is optional and is NOT a requirement for attendance! However, attendance from the beginning is necessary, because the class builds upon concepts established in the first few sessions. The format will be lecture, with PowerPoint slides and video clips, along with discussion. Each class will be approximately 90 minutes.

Women & the word | 2nd and 4th Tuesdays at 7:00 PM

All women aged 18 and above are invited to attend!  We will meet the 2nd and 4th weeks of each month in the Parlor through May.  Keep an eye out for "Women & The World" events when we break from our normal study to do something fun outside of the church walls.

bible study | wednesdays at 10:30 am

Join us as we begin to read and discuss “Better Ways to Read the Bible: Transforming a Weapon of Harm into a Tool for Healing” by Zach Lambert. Books will be available in the church office beginning in September. This class will include videos to accompany our discussion. The book is recommended, but all are invited to join us whether or not they have read it. Class will be held in Room 116 at 10:30 AM. Begins on September 16th.
