Welcome to the Youth Activities at FPCC! Our programs are designed to cultivate a strong sense of community, enhance spiritual growth,  and encourage social responsibility among our members Join us for mission trips, community service projects, special dinner fundraisers, musical opportunities, and fun social gatherings. To stay informed about our Children & Youth activities, please ensure that Pastor Britney and Monty Service have your email and home address.

Kids' Faith Formation

Led by Kristin Headley, this group meets on Sundays and follows the Whirl Bible Study curriculum. Filled with activities and videos, this class is a great complement to the Children's Moment during worship.

Children's Moment

Children ages 4 through 5th grade are invited to the front of the Sanctuary for a special moment where our pastors share the day's message with stories and props.

Kids' church

After the Children's Moment, kids are welcome to gather in the nursery for music, Bible stories, crafts, and games. On non-Communion Sundays, students are brought back to the Sanctuary during the final hymn. On Communion Sundays, children will return to the Sanctuary after the sermon to see Communion and partake if desired.

Our children's chime ensemble meets during select Kids' Church sessions to practice pieces to share during worship. To learn more, please contact Monty Service.

Youth Group

The Youth will meet with Pastor Britney in the Sr. High Lounge on Sunday mornings at 9:30 AM for Bible study and other activities.

greater than the sum

This youth vocal and handbell choir meets twice a month after worship to practice and prepare pieces to play during worship. Students of all musical abilities are welcome! Please contact Monty Service for more information.

July 13 - 19 | Camp Nazareth
Children in 2nd through 5th grade are invited to attend Camp Nazareth in Mercer County, PA. The Presbytery of Lake Erie is joining the Diocese of NWPA/WNY for a week of outdoor Christian camp! Camping is a great way for younger students to get used to overnight faith formation events and prepare them for middle and high school conferences. This is the first time our church is taking part in this camp, and we are excited to see what God does! More details are coming soon. If you have questions, please let Pastor Britney know!
July 15 - 20 | Montreat Middle School Conference
The Montreat Middle School Conference is designed for youth who have completed fifth, sixth, seventh, or eighth grade by summer 2025. The daily schedule includes keynote, worship, recreation, singing, small groups, and many other activities. At this year's Middle School Conference, we will dive into how God leads us to be "Wonder Full" and how we can live in response to that call. Using passages from Psalms, Jeremiah, and the Gospels, we will explore the wonder that is within us, all around us, and learning to share in community. The conference will be held at Maryville College, a PC(USA) affiliated private college, located in Maryville, TN, between the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and Knoxville. July 27 | Triennium
The Presbyterian Church (USA) will welcome thousands of youth in rising 9th-completed 12th grade to Louisville, KY, for four days of worship, recreation, Bible study, outreach, and faith formation all around the theme of "As If We Were Dreaming." Worship, programming, and meals will be held at the Kentucky International Convention Center (KICC) with all participants housed at nearby Triennium hotels. More information coming soon!

Music dates for children & youth

April 13 | Palm Sunday
Children & Youth will sing and wave palm branches as they process down the aisle at the start of worship.
April 20 | Easter
Children & Youth are invited to sing the multi-generational anthem at the 11 AM Easter Worship Service.
May 18 | Children & Youth Sunday
Children & Youth Sunday - all children and youth will lead in worship through liturgy, music, prayers, and the sermon.
