Rev. Chris Weichman
Senior Pastor
Born in Evanston, IL and raised in Pittsburgh, Chris Weichman graduated from Westminster College and Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. Chris started in ministry working for Hosanna Industries, a Christian housing ministry of the First Presbyterian Church of Bakerstown. Through the encouragement of his pastor, Chris enrolled at Pittsburgh Seminary. Chris has served church in Grove City, PA, Atlanta, GA, and New Castle, PA. He has served on the board of Presbyterian Frontier Fellowship and is currently on the board of The Outreach Foundation and Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. Chris has been married for 25 years to Karen, who works from home. They have two daughters, Emma, who lives in Charlotte, NC with her husband Colson, and Noelle, a senior at Clarion University.
Rev. Britney LV Knight
Associate Pastor
Rev. Britney L.V. Knight is a native of Pittsburgh, PA, and has resided in Erie, PA since 2016. She holds a BA in Psychology from California University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Divinity from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. She first joined the staff of First Presbyterian Church of the Covenant in 2016 as the Director of Youth and Family Ministries. In March 2020, Britney became the first woman ordained and installed as a pastor at FPCC. She is passionate about encouraging children, youth, and young adults to be active voices in the Presbyterian Church (USA) and their community. Her interests include ecumenical and interfaith dialogue, Old Testament Theology, the intersection of religion and politics, and crafting creative, meaningful worship. She enjoys reading, ballet, yoga, and walks with her dogs. Britney resides in Harborcreek with her husband Zach, her three children, Naomi, Malachi, and Lilah, and their four dogs.
Seph Kumer
Community Relations
"Seph" (the last four letters of Joseph) has been a part of the church staff and lived in the church neighborhood since 1999. In his role as "Director of Community Engagement," he searches for opportunities where God can connect the church and neighborhood in meaningful relationships...through civic groups, social services, schools, Gannon University, arts, and more. Seph has two adult sons and five grandchildren who bring him great joy. He loves bicycling and walking, ethnic food, road trips, live music, Lake Erie, and hanging out with friends, global students and residents of Erie's "Our West Bayfront."
Leslie M. Weber
Organist/Director of Music
Leslie is FPCC's Organist/Director of Music. She also serves as an Adjunct Instructor of Music, Secondary Choral Methods, at Mercyhurst University. Leslie attended Northwestern University (Organ & Church Music), Mercyhurst University (B.M. & Education Certification). She created and directs both the Men's Choir and the Women's Choir at FPCC.
In addition to her role at our church, Leslie enjoys reading, walking, swimming, boating, traveling, and family time.
Monty Service
Director of Missional Music & Worship
Monty has worked at FPCC in various capacities for 12 years. He leads Children and Youth music, facilitates the Praise Band and playing of the carillon, and is responsible for the technology needs of the church, specifically those relating to worship. He is also the contact and host for music events held by other groups at the church. He holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Westminster College. He remains an active musician in the community in various ways, including directing the music for musicals at Girard High School.
