Volunteers are needed once again for the last Thank God It’s Franks event this Friday , October 26. Before the weather turns really nasty, volunteer to meet ‘n greet Gannon students and neighbors with a friendly Friday night outreach program that features hot dogs. Join Abby Blankenship and the Campus Ministry team as they staff an outdoor barbecue from 10 p.m. to midnight in the church’s south parking lot on West 7th Street. You will engage about 100 students as they walk through the neighborhood. They linger and visit and share what is going on in their lives. If you can volunteer to help out, text or call Abby Blankenship at 724-561-4482. For a few years now, this outreach has proven to be a very successful way to engage students on the students’ turf. First Covenant brings God’s love to students where they are, instead of waiting for students to show up in Worship. It has led to long-standing relationships with students and it has given FPCC a reputation of hospitality and service to the community among Gannon faculty and students.
