We are recruiting volunteers once again this fall to meet ‘n greet Gannon students and neighbors with a friendly Friday night outreach program. TGIF – Thank God It’s Franks, is back. Experience the fun of “Thank God Its Franks” on October 19 and 26. All events are weather permitting. Join Abby Blankenship and the Campus Ministry team as they staff an outdoor barbecue from 10 p.m. to midnight in the church’s south parking lot on West 7th Street. You will engage about 75-100 students as they walk through the neighborhood. Students are surprised and they love it! They linger and visit and share what is going on in their lives. Students have said: “You guys are amazing. This is crazy. Thank you. How awesome. We love your church.” If you can volunteer to help out, text or call Abby Blankenship at 724-561-4482. For a few years now, this outreach has proven to be a very significant way to engage students on the students’ turf. First Covenant brings God’s love to students where they are, instead of waiting for students to show up in Worship. It has led to long-standing relationships with students and it has given FPCC a reputation of hospitality and service to the community among Gannon faculty and students.
