Summer Worship Times are now in effect through Labor Day weekend…
Summer is underway at First Covenant and that means a change in worship times. Sunday worship services are now at 8:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. Please note the later service moves up by one hour during the summer months. Again, summer worship times will continue through the Labor Day weekend including Sunday, September 1, 2019. In addition, there are no Faith Formation classes during the summer months.
Kid’s Church: We are going to continue to meet every Sunday except communion days over the summer during the 10:00 a.m. worship service. Monty Service and Britney Knight will continue to lead Kids’ Church with story time, crafts, and music. We will be welcoming kids heading into 5th grade and younger since we know attendance can be sporadic over the summer due to vacations. Our hope is to utilize the playground and be outside for most of the Sundays! We might even prepare a song to sing during worship at some point if we have enough kids! Let’s see what happens! Hope to see you this Summer!
Nursery: During the summer months, there are no nursery attendants during either worship service on Sunday mornings. However, the nursery is open and available to families with children, infants to 3 years of 3. Children should not be left unattended in the nursery. The worship service can be heard over the speaker system in the nursery. As always, families with children of all ages are welcome and encouraged to stay in the sanctuary! The laughter, babble, cries, and squeals of children are a joyful noise during worship. The nursery is available for children who might benefit from a quiet space, mothers who are nursing, or just a place for children to be themselves. Just a reminder: there are crayons, books, and other materials in Art Gallery Hall during worship for all children to utilize during the service.
