Are you ready to have the VERY BEST SUMMER EVER?
There are a number of mission and ministry opportunities this summer at First Covenant, in our West Bayfront Neighborhood and throughout the Erie Community. Very Best Summer is a way for us to get outside of the walls of our church and partner with our community, build relationships with our neighbors and see how God is at work in us, through us and around us. All mission and ministry opportunities are inter-generational and volunteer friendly; all impacts our neighborhood and our church in a BIG way! If you are interested in any of the opportunities listed below, contact Seph Kumer at [email protected]
“Movie Night at Covenant on Friday, July 27: Join us in the parking lot of First Covenant on Friday, July 27 for pop-corn and a presentation of “Coco.” While this activity is geared toward families, all are welcome. Movie Night at Covenant is free and the show begins at 9:00 p.m. Meet neighbors, students and families. Volunteers are needed to help set-up, clean-up, welcome guests and serve treats. Don’t forget to bring a lawn chair! If there’s rain, movie night moves indoors to Knox Hall. To be part of the crew, contact Linda Majewski at [email protected]
Become a Part of the new Urban University Ministry: Volunteers are needed for this new ministry opportunity as First Covenant partners with the Erie City Mission to provide a unique summer experience for middle school students. In early July, First Covenant is hosting four “classes” for the Erie City Mission’s Urban University. Middle school students are looking forward to experiencing classes in the culinary arts, theater and dance, and writing and illustrating.
