StudySpace….is available at First Covenant during exam time
Our ministry known as StudySpace is in full swing at First Covenant when Gannon University students are taking final exams for the fall and spring semesters. Students fill the halls and classrooms of First Covenant each night for a week to study for final exams. This ministry has been well received by the students and the community. Volunteers are always needed to welcome the students, assign a study space, distribute snacks and offer encouragement. Donations of baked goods, fruit, snacks, and water are also needed to make this a successful ministry. While this ministry is on hiatus until the next final exam week, you can always put your name on a list now. Contact Kyle Schumacher at 330-631-7948 or Abby Blankenship at 724-561-4482.
Here are a few comments from students about StudySpace at First Covenant:
- “A place where students can come to study while feeling safe + stay throughout the night interacting + studying with other students. I love the 5-10 minute fellowship break with singing, scripture + prayer.
StudySpace has helped me so much with finals.”
- “This place is a college student’s blessing! The atmosphere and people that come with it probably raised my grade in each class a minimum of 10%. Thanks for all the Free food! –A stressed out college student”
- “Over the past week, I have really come to appreciate all that this church(First Covenant) has done for the students of Gannon. I owe this place a couple of passing grades… I would like to thank everyone involved. I am truly grateful.”
- “Somewhere safe I can study all night at and where I can help find God and bring him back into my life. Where I can just be and know he’s helping me along the way.”
