Spring 2018 StudySpace….
Spring 2018 StudySpace is Thursday, April 26 through Thursday, May 3, from 9:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m. daily. Gannon University students will once again fill the halls and classrooms of First Covenant each night to study for final exams. This ministry has been well received by the students and the community. Volunteers are needed to welcome the students, assign a study space, distribute snacks and offer encouragement. Donations of baked goods, fruit, snacks, and water are also needed to make this a successful ministry. If you can volunteer to cover a shift during StudySpace, contact Kyle Schumacher at 330-631-7948. If you can donate beverages and snacks, contact Abby Blankenship at 724-561-4482..
Here are a few comments from students about StudySpace at First Covenant:
- “A place where students can come to study while feeling safe + stay throughout the night interacting + studying with other students. I love the 5-10 minute fellowship break with singing, scripture + prayer.
StudySpace has helped me so much with finals.”
- “This place is a college student’s blessing! The atmosphere and people that come with it probably raised my grade in each class a minimum of 10%. Thanks for all the Free food! –A stressed out college student”
- “Over the past week, I have really come to appreciate all that this church(First Covenant) has done for the students of Gannon. I owe this place a couple of passing grades… I would like to thank everyone involved. I am truly grateful.”
- “Somewhere safe I can study all night at and where I can help find God and bring him back into my life. Where I can just be and know he’s helping me along the way.”
