Let’s Share the Bounty
The Deacons of First Covenant are collecting food donations during the entire month of November and through December 8. Church members, friends of First Covenant and neighbors are asked to contribute non-perishable food items. Donations can be brought forward during worship in November and December. Here are the suggested donations:
brought forward by all during the November/ December worship times.
November 10 – soup and juice
November 17 -canned vegetables and fruits
November 24 -canned meats, peanut butter, jelly, and baked beans
December 1 – boxed cereals, pasta, rice, mac & cheese, and tea & coffee
December 8 – holiday treats such as homemade cookies, baking mixes (brownies, cookies, cake) & supplies (frosting, decorations, flour, sugar) holiday candy, and gravies.
The Share the Bounty list/schedule is only a suggestion. The Covenant Deacons we are grateful for your participation and any donations that you may be able to bring to the table. If you bring boxed goods on the first Sunday, we will be delighted.
If you are unable to worship with us, just drop off your non-perishable food items at the church office during the week.
The Deacons and youth plan to pack the non-perishable food items in boxes during the regular gathering time for youth group on Sunday, December 8. They will then add fresh produce and distribute the baskets on Saturday, December 14 from 10:00 a.m. to 12 noon. If you know of a family in need of a food basket, contact Lorie Fritts at 898-2046 or Britney Knight at 724-766-2594
so they may feel the love of Christ extended through this ministry.
