March 2016 Mission Update
At our February meeting the committee voted to give $500 to Jessica Jung to help with her expenses for a mission trip to Nicaragua in May. Jessica is a former youth group member and the niece of Esther Hong. We have asked her to come to Covenant later in the year to tell us about her experience. Please pray for her safety and success in Nicaragua.
In March, three members of First Covenant will travel to Atlanta, Georgia to attend a workshop on transforming distressed urban neighborhoods. We look forward to the new ideas they will bring us so that our good efforts in helping our neighbors will be even better.
Please continue to pray for the people of Malawi that their famine will soon be over and that the March harvest will be bountiful. Meanwhile, consider a donation, of any size, to this worthwhile cause. Only $15 will feed a family for a month. Use the pew envelopes, write a check using “Food Relief” in the memo section or send a donation directly to: Marion Medical Mission, 1412 Shawnee Drive,Marion, IL 62959. Thank you!
