The Adult Music Program at the First Presbyterian Church of the Covenant
includes opportunities to Sing and to Ring, All to the Glory of God.
The Covenant Choir and Covenant Bells rehearse September through May. Rehearsals are on Thursday evenings in the Music Room.
The Covenant Choir: This choir includes singers from ages 18 and above. The Covenant choir presents their offering of music to the congregation through a weekly anthem. Upon occasion, they will also present a hymn of the month or another special musical selection. Their anthems represent music from a wide variety of musical genres. Previous choral experience is desired in order to join the Covenant Choir. The Covenant Choir rehearses each Thursday from 7:15 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. No rehearsals during the summer months.
The Covenant Bells: This choir includes folks from ages 18 and above and presents their offering of music to the congregation approximately one Sunday each month. Previous bell experience is desired and a strong sense of rhythm is necessary, in order to join this choir. The Covenant Bells rehearse each Thursday from 6:30 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. No rehearsals during the summer months.
1. SOLO OPPORTUNITIES: Throughout the year there are numerous opportunities to share your musical gifts. FPCC members and members of the community are encouraged to contact First Covenant Choirmaster & Organist Leslie Weber to present a vocal or instrumental offering during Sunday Worship services.
2. THE ADVENT / CHRISTMAS CHOIR: This singing choir includes folks who want to sing specifically during the Advent/Christmas season. They are encouraged to join the Covenant Choir for regular Thursday evening rehearsals leading up to Christmas with First Covenant and Advent/Christmas Worship services.
