This Lenten season our emphasis is on “Returning” to God. Each Sunday the focus on scripture comes from the Old Testament that speaks of God’s covenants and promises to God’s people.

Lenten Devotionals: This year the devotionals are in book form and are available at all of the entrances to the Sanctuary and just outside the church office. For the adults, pick up your copy of “A Wondrous Love” by Henri Nouwen. For families, take home a copy of “Home, Heart & Spirit.” It’s filled with daily devotions and related activities for kids.
Lenten Art Exhibit in the Covenant Community Art Gallery: Artwork from around the church is now on display in a special collection in the Covenant Community Gallery. The artwork depict various Lenten themes of prayer, reconciliation, service, and love. Use the gallery as a space to reflect on God’s work and renew your faith. The exhibit entitled “Return” runs now through April 7. You can visit the gallery Sunday mornings before or after Worship, Monday to Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
March 29: Maundy Thursday Communion Service at 6:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary. Come and experience a simple communion service and reflect on the Last Supper – the last night Jesus was with his disciples. The Covenant Choir will sing at this evening service.
Belle Valley Presbyterian Hosts the Annual Good Friday Men’s Breakfast on March 30:
Men, of all ages, are invited to attend this annual Good Friday tradition at Belle Valley. Breakfast begins at 6:30 a.m. followed by a brief communion service and message. This is a great way for grandfathers, fathers, and sons who have a day off from school or work to bond and begin Good Friday together. The cost is $10 per person. Join us for Easter Sunday Worship Services with Communion at 8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.on April 1. Enjoy a Festival Service with brass, percussion, organ and all the Covenant Choirs including children and youth. Rev. Chris Weichman delivers the weekly sermon based on John 20:1-18.
