Join us for freeze pop mini-parades in our West Bayfront Neighborhood
This is the summer when almost everything is cancelled including National Night Out and the annual block party. Large group gatherings are not good for our health during the Coronavirus pandemic. Every organization, including First Covenant, has had to adapt. So, the church is partnering with Our West Bayfront to take National Night Out
and the Block Party “on the road” (literally) in the form of two mini-parade nights. The first is on Tuesday, July 14 from 6:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m., on West 2nd and West 4th from Sassafras to the Bayfront Parkway. The second mini-parade will be on Tuesday, August 4 from 6:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m., on West 8th and 10th streets. We will supply a First Pres Freeze Pop van, passing out freeze pops, socially-distanced, to our neighbors. The mini-parades will also have a DJ playing tunes on the back of the church
pick-up, a bunch of fun vehicles, a clown, police motorcycles,Gannon students handing out masks and more! We can’t gather for the fun in Gridley Park or the church parking lot, but we can take the fun on parade. 6-8 freeze pop helpers are needed.
Walking (with ride breaks) required. 2 vehicle drivers needed. Can you help? Email [email protected]
or text 566-0287 to sign up!
