Volunteers are encouraged to volunteer for a few hours on the first Thursday of the month at the Erie City Mission from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Linda Holmes organizes a small team of church volunteers to work together with Gannon ESL (English as a Second Language) students in the kitchen to prepare and serve lunch. This is a favorite learning-while-doing activity of the students! And they love meeting church members. If you would like to help prepare and serve lunch for about 150 neighbors and help Gannon ESL friends learn new vocabulary and practice conversation, contact Linda Holmes at 814.825.3889.
