Join Covenant Connections on Wednesdays in November & for Advent…
Covenant Connections welcomes all to come to the table for dinner on Wednesday nights at 5:15 p.m. Enjoy a great meal and then after dinner, enjoy guest speakers and group activities starting at 6:15 p.m until 7 p.m. The “Junior Ringers” gather at 6:00 p.m. Monty Service will provide instruction in chimes and hand bells for elementary-aged children at that time. Dinner is $6 for adults, $3 for children and college students. No cost for children 3 and under. It’s important to make a reservation so our cooks can plan accordingly. November 14 – Thanksgiving Dinner & Support for the Salvation Army. Enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving meal, along with a few Turkish surprises! Friends from the Turkish Cultural Center are joining us on November 14. Since this is a fundraising effort for the Salvation Army the suggested donation is $10 adults, $5 kids/students. You can contribute whatever you decide, all donations that evening will go to local Salvation Army Christmas projects.
November 21 – NO CONNECTIONS: Thanksgiving Eve Worship & Pie at 6:30 p.m. This is an opportunity to express gratitude to God. This worship service is followed by fellowship time with pie served in the parlor.
Advent Potlucks during Covenant Connections on November 28, and December 5, 12 & 19
The first Sunday of Advent is December 2, so on Wednesday, November 28, gather at Connections to help decorate the church after our first Advent potluck dinner. Popular during Lent 2018, potluck Connections dinners return for Advent 2018 for 4 weeks. A main course, basic salad and beverages will be provided each week and you are asked to bring an appetizer, side dish, or dessert to share. It’s roast beef on November 28! There’s no set charge to attend, instead donations will be accepted. Bring a co-worker, neighbor or friend! After dinner each week; there’s a brief study of a scripture from the Bible, singing Advent music and enjoying a related activity
November 28 – Advent Potluck: “Hanging of the Greens” Roast beef, salad and beverages will be provided. You bring the side dishes, breads, desserts or ?? to share. After dinner in the Fidelis Room we will pause for scripture study and song. Then we will decorate the church for Advent. There is no charge for dinners at Covenant Connections during Advent potlucks on November 28, and December 5, 12 & 19.
