Thank God Its Franks – Last Friday in October
Volunteers are reaching out into our West Bayfront neighborhood once again this fall to meet ‘n greet Gannon students and neighbors with a friendly Friday night outreach program. TGIF – Thank God It’s Franks, has proved to be a very successful outreach for First Covenant. The next TGIF is Friday, October 29, 2017. For a few years now, this outreach has proved to be a very significant way to engage students on the students’ turf. First Covenant brings God’s love to students where they are, instead of waiting for students to show up in Worship. It has led to long-standing relationships with students and it has given FPCC a reputation of hospitality and service to the community among Gannon faculty and students
Volunteers are gathering on Friday nights through October. They begin handing out hot dogs, veggie burgers and bottled water to those passing by FPCC at 10:00 p.m. and continue until midnight This effort is one example of our Community Engagement ministries, by taking what good things First Covenant has to offer outside of our building and sharing with others. If you would like to volunteer for this outreach ministry, contact Abby Blankenship (724-561-4482) or Kyle Schumacher (330-631-7948) to offer your help with TGIF or any upcoming Campus Ministry events. Campus Ministry is all about building relationships by meeting, greeting and hanging out with students.
